Description: A good or better copy of the 1924 first edition with the proper Harper & Brothers "K-X" 1st Edition code to the copyright page. The dust jacket is in good condition, unclipped with the $2.00 price and features a dynamic wraparound color illustration by Frank Street and four full page illustrations including the frontispiece. This copy is flat signed by the author in his signature purple ink to the front free endpaper. Condition: Small 8vo, 291 pp. plus, two pages of ads - publishers illustrated clothbound orange pictorial boards stamped in black on cover and spine with a small bump to the front corners, some sunning to the edge of the back cover, some fading and soiling along the spine and some fraying to the spine tips. The book is clean with some toning to the endpapers and a few interior pages. The scarce dust jacket has some creasing and chipping to the edges, folds and spine ends with a closed tear to the upper front, now repaired and a bit of loss to the upper spine end. Some sunning along the spine, and some foxing to the inside flaps. Overall, a nice copy signed by Zane Grey.
