The Gossip bench often referred to as a telephone table became popular shortly after the telephone was invented in 1876.They were most popular between the 1930s .This Gossip bench is a British design recognizable because of its ornate finish and single drawer to store telephone books etc. It is available upholstered in a pale blue velvet and painted white an gold. It measures 11.8cm long x 5 cm deep and 3.8 cm high. It comes with its own old fashioned brass telephone.
