Ecole E300 Classical Concert Guitar

This is a wonderful Classical Concert Guitar by the master luthier Eichi Kodaira.  Made in Japan in the early 1970s.

This was a luxurious guitar at the time, and it was the second model from the top after the E500.  Please check my other listing for the E500.

This guitar has a crystal clear tone, with sweet, bright trebles and metallic basses with lots of overtones.  It also has exceptional clarity and note separation.

I have modified the bracing to achieve greater dynamics and projection, and tune to sound board to G.

The neck is reinforced with a trip of solid rosewood to prevent the neck from bending over time.

Specifications:

Top: High-Grade Solid Spruce with Ramirez bracing and supporting ring of wood glued underneath sound-hole/lacquer

Back and Sides: Indian Rosewood

Neck: Spanish Cedar with Rosewood reinforcement

Fingerboard: Ebonized Rosewood

Scale: 650mm

Nut width: 52mm

String action is approximately 3.50mm under E6 and 3.00 mm under E1 with plenty of extra room on the saddle.
