T+A Elektroakustik Delta 70B Omnidirectional Speakers. Like Sonab..

Very rare German, upward firing, omnidirectional speakers from the 1980s. In full working order (midrange need refoaming)

T+A Elektroakustik is a German company that produced a range of upward firing omnidirectional speakers in the 80s. I don't know the exact relationship, but obviously these T+A designs owe a lot to the earlier Swedish Sonab omnidirectional speakers designed by Stig Carlsson. Sometimes these T+A speakers are advertised as Sonabs.

The build quality is excellent, better than any Sonabs I have seen. The woofer is a die cast Vifa unit and the midrange looks like a SEAS unit. The wire terminal on the underside take either bare wire or 4mm plugs. The cabinets are beautifully finished in real mahogany veneer.

The midrange units have perished foam surrounds. The level adjustment for the mid and high freqencies work fine.

These sound great to my ear, very crisp and detailed, and fill the room with sound that hangs in the air.
