This listing is for ONE OptiWand Pincher® . Colors are random in Orange, Green or Blue
APPLYING EYE DROPS PRIOR TO
INSERTION IS A MUST FOR THIS TO WORK PROPERLY!!
It helps transfer the lens
from wand to eye and vice versa much easier.
OptiWand Pincher® is
made of SOFT PLIABLE RUBBER &
Is a Soft Contact Lens
Insertion & Removal Tool
It can be used to INSERT
ALL CONTACT LENSES.
It WILL remove soft
contact lenses with some practice & patience by PINCHING THEM WITH THE SOFT
ENDS!
****************
IT IS NOT A SUCTION CUP FOR
SOFT LENSES
We strongly recommend
starting with insertion as it should be easier to perfect
Removal's pinch can be
tricky but once mastered it is super simple
Practice and patience are
a must and old habits must be broken in order to use it properly
Soft contact lenses
are NOT a SOLID material and CANNOT be grabbed by placing the OptiWand Pincher® against them
You must break the bond
between contact lens & your CORNEA where your lenses sit securely as
designed
IT WILL NOT Remove
RGP/Hard/Sclera lenses
The Split Cup side will
insert Sclera lenses and either side will insert RGP
*It has an EMERGENCY BLINK
RELEASE TO PREVENT STICKING TO NAKED EYE *
For proper insertion you
must focus on the CENTER HOLE and not a mirror or other source.
The soft contact LENS WILL
NOT come off the OptiWand Pincher® unless
it is placed properly directly on the cornea.
If you are bringing it in
at an angle the contact lens will stay on the OptiWand Pincher® and
not come off on to the eye as intended.
Using OptiWand Pincher® for inserting
SOFT & HARD Contact Lenses
Step 1: Apply Eye Drops
for lubrication. Dip your OptiWand Pincher® in
Contact Lens solution for lubrication
Step 2: Position your
regular sized HARD or SOFT contact lens on the center of FULL CUP SIDE of
the OptiWand Pincher®. If
you have small soft eyes or hard lenses you can use the SPLIT CUP end and use
the following steps. The OptiWand Pincher® is
designed to hold the lens during insertion.
Step 3: Using your
non-dominant hand spread your eye lids as wide as possible, keeping
your eyelashes out of the way.
Step 4: Draw the OptiWand Pincher® to your eye by looking
DIRECTLY AT THE LENS through the CENTER HOLE to align
properly.
*Aiming the OptiWand® at
a colored background or light will help some to focus on the CENTER HOLE*
Step 5: Once it is close enough and the contact lens
touches your eye, give the OptiWand Pincher® a slight TWIST to
help release the lens.
FINISH THE INSERTION
PROCESS AS FAST AS POSSIBLE TO PREVENT THE LENS FROM STICKING TO THE WAND!
Step 6:
Blink your contact into place.
Now your lens is centered
on your eye.
* Make sure to hold
eyelashes away to prevent blockage. *
WARNING **NEVER USE OptiWand Pincher® ON NAKED EYE**
Please DO NOT USE the OptiWand Pincher® if you are allergic to
Liquid Silicone Rubber!
Using OptiWand Pincher® for
Removing SOFT Contact Lenses
YOU CAN USE THE FULL CUP OR
SPLIT CUP TO PINCH SOFT LENSES.
SPLIT CUP END IS BEST IF YOU
HAVE SMALL EYES OR LENSES.
FULL CUP END IS BEST FOR
LARGER FINGERS OR LONG FINGERNAILS.
Step 1:Apply Eye
Drops for lubrication. Use a DRY OptiWand Pincher® for Soft Contact Lens
removal for best results.
Step 2: Using your
non-dominant hand spread your eye lids as wide as possible, keeping
your eyelashes out of the way.
Step 3: Focusing through
the CENTER HOLE, draw the OptiWand Pincher® to
your eye until you touch the soft contact lens.
Step 4: Once you feel the OptiWand Pincher® touch the soft contact
lens you should twist it slightly then carefully pinch the soft contact lens
with the Base of the OptiWand Pincher® and swipe away from eye.
Some users can turn the OptiWand Pincher® towards their noses
after it makes contact and that will help push it out.
*Best pinching position is
very close to the tip*
Final Step: Dip OptiWand Pincher® into contact lens solution
in current case and the lens will fall down into the solution with a pinch on
the Full cup.
We suggest placing the soft
lens on your non dominant index finger and PRACTICE THE PINCH OFF OF YOUR
FINGER to get a feel for actual removal.
If you pinch the soft
contact lens off of a finger a few times you will be able to visualize what it
takes to pinch effectively.

Step 1: Dip your OptiWand Pincher® SPLIT CUP SIDE in Contact
Lens solution for lubrication
Step 2:
Stand the OptiWand Pincher® up on the counter or table top with the Split cup side up
Step 3: Position your
Sclera contact lens on the center of the SPLIT CUP SIDE of the OptiWand Pincher®
Step 4: Look & stay focused on the CENTER HOLE for proper
alignment.
* Some prefer to have a
colored background to help focus on the CENTER HOLE *
Step 5: Spread
your eye lids as wide as possible, keeping your eyelashes out of the way.
Step 6:
Slowly draw to the OptiWand Pincher® until the contact lens makes contact with the eye.
