This is a true, 1950s James Campion scarf (not a modern reproduction). Part of the Ivy League series, this scarf depicts Brown University in Providence. It’s from the estate of a gentleman who graduated from Brown in the 1960s.

For its age, the scarf appears to be in great condition. The silk has thinned in some areas (I tried taking a photo in front of the window to point this out). That might just be the natural variation of the silk!

In the gray portion of the scarf, I noticed are area that almost like like a tiny tear but it seems stable. Again, this just could be the natural variation of the silk.

One the reverse, there is a small yellowed area that is not visible from the front.

The scarf measures approximately 33 x34”.

Thanks for looking!
