There’s a mix of old and new in this vintage trolley table, now an expandable drinks trolley, console table or anything else you’d like it to be. The table top has been sanded back to reveal the natural grain, and decorated with copper metallic to create what I like to think of as a lace tablecloth effect with the grain peeping through. Depending on how the light hits it, it can look subtle or more glamorous. The coats of browning wax have been buffed to a light sheen, which also emphasises the natural grain. The base has been brought up to date with smooth black Loof paint by Frenchic.

All the pieces I upcycle are preloved, and some will show signs of their previous life, which I feel adds to their character.
