Anytime you can find a vintage tropical bird in a barkcloth pattern that it is a textile blessing...a magnificent opportunity to own a extremely limited piece of cotton barkcloth history...one with a Miami Beach vibe of fanciful feathered birds in a perfectly faded barkcloth...the perfect antidote to any cloudy day or blues...and what better than new old stock yardage that I have carried around with me for 35 years...part of a buy out of a original Miami fabric shop closed in the 50's after the death of the husband...and sat dormant until 1989 with all the original bolts inside. So if you think this is too much money...these old textiles aren't worth it...just think of all it took to acquire all of this and to protect it for the last 30 something years. I value it for what it is worth...more than diamonds and pearls...they are gems within themselves.

This offering is for ONE unused unwashed crisp and stiff remnant of heavily textured barkcloth...a rich decadent deep emerald teal...darkest turquoise green ground with huge birds of paradise just hanging around as they do in just about every lil beachside park in South Beach...a familiar view for me in my memory bank...mesmerized by the selling my textiles on Lincoln Road...feeling the ambiance and the sheer gratefulness of my life in Miami Beach where my collecting began. Bubble gum pink...chartreuse lime...candied red...coral p[ink...celadon green...minty seafoam green...eggplant...latte...with creamy white accents. Measures 24 inches wide x 33 inches long. Flawless original old stock.

I take returns...but who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience. Please only buy if you know you really want it...in other words...I'm here to have the best selling experience and I can't do that without your help. With that said...of course I will take a return...I'm just hoping more the pricing will WOW YA over wanting to return it :) Here is to a summer of fabulous Florida Finds. :)
