The Predator franchise is a science fiction action franchise, consisting primarily of a series of films focusing on the Yautja, commonly referred to simply as "the Predator", an extraterrestrial creature that hunts and kills other dangerous lifeforms, including humans, for sport and honor. Unlike the Alien franchise, which features a continuous story arc, the Predator films are more non-linear, instead focusing on individual encounters with the Predators spread across multiple timeframes. Produced by 20th Century Studios, the franchise started with the 1987 feature film Predator, continued with three sequels, Predator 2 (1990), Predators (2010) and The Predator (2018), and a prequel Prey (2022). Jordan Raskin is an American comic book artist who provided art for the comic Predator: Race War, as well as its short story prequel, for Dark Horse Comics.Describing himself as largely self-taught, Raskin did also attend both the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and the Ringling School of Illustration in Florida for one semester each. The first major comics work of Raskin's career was on Predator: Race War for Dark Horse in the early 1990s. He then went on to work on Top Cow's Ripclaw, Penthouse Comix's Dixie Snakeyes, and DC's Batman and Lady Shiva, Marvel's X-Men Index and others. (Samples of which may be found on his website)
Jordan left comics in the mid-1990s to pursue a freelance career in advertising, creating storyboards for various advertising agencies. Raskin then went to work in television animation as the Background Designer for Cartoon Network's Courage the Cowardly Dog and the 2002 version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for 4kids Entertainment. Most recently, Raskin produced a creator owned graphic novel titled Industry of War, published by Desperado Publishing.

9.6 NEAR MINT+ (NM+): Nearly perfect with a minor additional virtue or virtues that raise it from Near Mint. Only subtle bindery or printing defects are allowed. No bindery tears are allowed, although on Golden Age books bindery tears of up to 1/8" have been noted. Cover is flat with no surface wear. Inks are bright with high reflectivity and a minimum of fading. One corner may be almost imperceptibly blunted, but still almost sharp and cut square. Almost imperceptible indentations are permissible, but no creases, bends, or color breaks. Small, inconspicuous, lightly penciled, stamped or inked arrival dates are acceptable as long as they are in an unobtrusive location. Spine is tight and flat. Staples must be original, generally centered, with only the slightest discoloration. Paper is (no worse than) off-white, supple and fresh. Only the slightest interior tears are allowed. Side note on CGC "Wizard First" 9.5 Near Mint labels: For a short time back around 2004, Wizard magazine teamed up with CGC to submit small numbers of new comics directly from the printer and delivered to CGC, and they had a special label, and Wizard came up with the 9.5 grade (their only other grades were 9.0 and 10.0). No one cared, and the backlash killed the idea pretty quickly. But you may run into one, so now you know why..
