Imperial Gild Silver Orthodox Church Icon Cross Pendant Episcopal Panagia Necklace

I am pleased to present to you for sale this old antique cross panagia necklace from the Imperial era.

The panagia necklace is a hand-made piece of fine craftsmanship. It is made of gilt solid silver and is decorated with colorful synthetic stones. The pendant, which is in the shape of a cross, is linked to the gilded solid silver chain via a silver ornament in the shape of the imperial crown.

In the middle of the cross-pendant there is an oil painting of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ on mother of pearl base.

The item has the respective imperial silver hallmark “84”, the initials of the maker “И.Ф”, the initials of the assay master “Р.В“ with dating of a year "1891-4" – the last digit is hard to be read.  There is also a stamp of Saint George.

The necklace is in good condition, there are no missing parts but there are traces of use (scratches and wear of the gilt). Please look at the pictures carefully as they are an integral part of the description.
