This antique football sports cap which is made of dark green/black velvet cloth is embroidered to the front in silver braid with the date of 1887-88, has a cord gold tassel and gold silk lining.
This late 19th century football cap which is a rare piece has the names and positions of the football team written inside. Judging by the names inside it would most likely have belonged to a Welsh team.
A nice early piece of football memorabilia that would make a nice collectors item.
