Another excellent routine from Liam Montier. He has taken the old "clock" effect and given it a more relevant context, in which the cards used correspond to the spectators Zodiac sign.

Show a deck of cards and explain about the connections of cards and calendars, which of course are connected to the signs of the Zodiac. Show a small envelope with a list of all 12 star signs on it, numbered for easy reference. While the magi looks away, the spectator takes some cards off the top of the deck -- the number corresponding to her star sign. She hides these in the box, and the magi turns back to face her. Now he places the envelope in the center of the table and deals twelve cards around the envelope, so that together they can find out what her lucky card is. But first he looks deeply into her eyes, and without a single question or "fish", he names her star sign. Then she counts around the twelve cards to the one that corresponds with her sign. That card is (say) the Jack of Clubs. "I predicted your lucky card" says the magi, as he hands her the envelope and inside she finds a single card -- the Jack of clubs.

To finish off, the rest of the cards on the table are shown to be all BLANK!
