Small French bronze statue or sculpture of a schoolboy in Dutch style clogs entitled Ecole Buissonniere which translates to Bush School.  Bush school was a train of thought to let children roam to learn about life, we would call it playing hooky.  Sculpture is signed Demance on the back, not sure if this is the artist or the foundry.  Very well detailed, looks to be late 19th century.  Unable to find the artist, the closest was Henri Demance but he was a painter.  All I could think is that it was a less well known artist with limited production of his art.

Stands 9.25" tall and about 4" wide, just over 3 pounds of bronze.
