Description: A very good copy of the 1922 First edition, second state of The Beautiful and the Damned, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and published by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York with the Scribner seal to copyright page. Condition: 8vo. 449 pages with two pages of ads at the rear for "This Side of Paradise," and "Flappers and Philosophers." Publisher's blue cloth with titles stamped in blind to front board, gilt stamped titles to the spine. Recent restoration includes a re-glued spine and new endpapers. Light wear to the edges, corners are bumped and rubbed with a bit of fraying to the spine tips and a few small spots on the rear cover. The gilt print is a bit faded on the spine. The interior is in nice condition with a name erased from the front blank preliminary page, a small, closed tear (now repaired) on the half-title page and several tiny chips to a few page edges.
