Product introduction

Lyle Mays was active as the keyboard player and music director of the Pat Metheny Group from its formation in 1978 until it ceased activities in 2006. However, he passed away in February 2020 after a long battle with illness... A valuable live archive of his solo activities that he was doing while he was a member of the Pat Metheny Group is now available!

After recording a special for a German TV station, Lyle Mays will perform with a different line-up at the Jazz Festival in Poland. Mark Johnson, who participated in Lyle Mays' own 2nd solo album and is the bassist of the Bill Evans Trio. Furthermore, at that time, Bill Shepard, who was attracting attention as a young talented sax player, and Mark Walker, who had a reputation as a session musician.
