CHAROITE SPHERE IMMITATION 50 MM 180 G

This is a natural stone, presumably feldspar, dyed in the colour imitating Charoite. The AGTA's definition of a dyed stone is one in which a colouring agent has been introduced into the stone to give it new colour, intensify its present colour or improve its colour uniformity.

The sphere is elaborately coloured to resemble Charoite. I think that the idea was quite successful.
The sphere's diameter is 50 mm, the weight is 180 g.

Images were taken outdoors in natural light.
