Vintage African Wooden Handcarved Lidded Bread Basket Bowl Serving Display Decor

Beautifully hand carved African lidded basket/bowl, some others have been listed elsewhere as bread baskets, but it could have multiple uses.

Both the bottom of the bowl and lid have an open carved detailing depicting a variety of African animals, from elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo etc.

It measures approximately 36.5cm in length, 13cm in width and 15.5cm in height, these measurements slightly vary due to its hand carved nature.

Condition is used as per photographs, the lid has an old crack which has been filled, but this appears like it was from where it’s been carved out. Some pitting marks to the base of the bowl, but again historic and minimal but better to mention it than not. The lid does sit better one way compared to the other too!
