Falling Roses is a pattern that is well known to any one who relishes in the delights of some of the 1930's most primo of vintage textiles...the soft at heart...the warm in nostalgia...the old souls...the lovers...the romantics...the vintage revolutionaries of spirit who seek to make this world a softer place through beauty and softness of floral ancient textiles...this pattern was created in the 1930's and those who carry a torch for it today are the descendants of a lineage of women before them who also sought a soft world...one that at least could be created through design and creating nests for which to raise their brood and influence their beloveds to also seek shelter in softness and love...it is a movement of tangible things...but more than that is a movement of love...we call it shabby chic...but love and beauty are really what it is all about...

This offering is for ONE unused unwashed piece of stunning yardage in the infamous falling roses pattern from the 1930's. I have 4 available that I am selling individually...it is yardage off the bolt and measures 35 inches wide x 90 inches long. Premium vintage unglazed cotton...this type of cotton is lighter in weight...but not in strength...the beauty of unglazed cottons is they are thinner and not a textured traditional barkcloth...but can withstand the strength like any other heavy cotton...in fact really even stronger...this is unused original old stock off the same bolt it was first rolled on some 80 years ago...stored away and unused for all this time...leaving a brand new allure as if you were transported back in time for a brand new buying experience...a unheard of sky blue ground...different from all the rest...with romantic bouquets that look freshly picked from the garden...cabbage roses in all phases of bloom...dark reds and burgundy red...varied shell pinks...mixed with the most perfect lime and asparagus greens...the artist spared no details including the stems that I adore...creating a piece of artwork that is unparalleled in todays design marketplace...it died with an era that can never be again...but you can help recreate a nostalgic piece of the memories that embody this wonderful historic textile. Expect FLAWLESS. The more you buy I will send in continuous yardage uncut.
