Here you see for sale a small printed circuit board with six high-brightness red LEDs, resistors and a rectifier diode. 

It serves to take the place of the six incandescent bulbs behind the "tally" lights on the front panel of a Browning Mark 4A transmitter. 

The original bulbs behind the "ON THE AIR", "AM", "USB" and "LSB" legends will always burn out. 

They are a pain in the patootie to change. 

This board replaces them with LEDs that should last a LOT longer. The layout of the new LEDS is an exact match to the six holes in the white plastic reflector. You may need to diddle them a bit to line up with the openings in the reflector, but the LEDs are usually a tight fit in the six openings. Feel free to secure it in place with an appropriate dribble of hot-melt glue.

You will probably have to remove the white plastic reflector to remove the bodies of the old bulbs. They don't usually fit through the openings. 

Yes, putting it back is a pain in the neck, but at least you won't have to do it again. This board was designed to save labor in our shop, and will be less trouble to install than six separate incandescent lamps.
