Sea turtle trinket boxes are particularly rare.
This brass sea turtle has a removable lid. It is completely brass, except for its eyes, which are of green glass. Estimated age is 1950s, although it could be earlier (We are not certain as to its age).
The trinket box figurine is approximately 4 1/2" long x 3 3/8" wide. The piece is heavy and would serve as a fine paperweight, a holder for paper clips or as a desk ornament.
