Description: Hornby Worm Gear for use with 0-4-0 locos with X908 and X2258 motors, although Hornby do also give the X2258 motors a number of different numbers. Please have a look at Hornby service sheets 82A, 115, 200 and others.

The centre hole is 2.0 mm in diameter at the end which fits closest to the your motor. The hole is slightly tapered so that your motor's shaft will fit tightly. Over the years Hornby have offered these 0-4-0 pitch worm gears in black and grey, some with different sized centre holes, ranging from about 1.6 mm to 2.2 mm. These ones have a slighly tapered 2 mm centre hole.
