This little picture is worn, with all kinds of "patina" - the aged look things get over time.  It is a cardboard frame with real glass over a print of Jesus as a boy.  The print is a famous one, but I don't know the artist.  The picture is sweet, and was a gift  to "Eddy" as a Christmas gift, from two of the most famous priests in US history - Cavanaugh and Coughlin.  The church was also listed - St Matthews.  I tried to look it up, and I don't know if the church is in Detroit or somewhere else in Michigan.

Father Coughlin was known as the "radio" priest, and at one time was one of the most influential priests in the US, with his show being listened to by huge numbers of faithful.  He was really noted, in the 1930's, for his views that are counter to inclusion.  I won't list the words that apply, but many are stilled used today when talking about "others".

This little piece is quite interesting, and is 5" by 7".  It is dated on the back as December 1945.  This was just a few months after the end of WWII (September, 1945), which is interesting considering the leanings of these particular priests.

The priests are John F. Cavanaugh and Charles E Coughlin, both of Michigan.
