This circuit adds a capacitor to the original LED flowing light circuit to delay the LEDs, thus allowing them to fade out. When Q0 goes high, the capacitor C1 is charged by diode D1 and the voltage approaches VCC, while transistor Q1 conducts and LED1 and LED2 light up. When entering the next state Q1 output is 0, Q2 output is 1, due to the one-way conductivity of the diode, the electricity of capacitor C1 is only discharged to ground through R1 and Q1's E pole, as the voltage across the C1 capacitor becomes lower, the triode gradually approaches the cut-off state, so LED1 and LED2 slowly become dark. As the voltage across C1 becomes lower, the triode gradually approaches cut-off, so LED1 and LED2 slowly become dimmer. Similarly, the other LEDs gradually change from bright to dim, so that a gradual flow effect is achieved. The pulse input signal of the 4017 is provided by a multi-harmonic oscillator circuit consisting of triodes Q11 and Q12. Changing the resistance of RP1 changes the oscillation frequency and thus the speed of the flow.

Welding and component installation is the key to success, please use high quality solder, the solder joints should be bright and free of dummy solder, do not install the components incorrectly, follow a certain order in the production, after installing part of the components then install another part. Start with short components first, e.g. resistors, then taller components. The integrated circuits are mounted first, and then the chips are mounted after they have all been mounted, with the chip notch positioned against the markings on the board with the notch.
After installation, check again that the components are not incorrectly installed and that they are well soldered, then connect to the power supply, taking care not to reverse the positive and negative connections, turn the switch on and observe the LED flashing effect, then adjust the potentiometer to observe the LED flow rate.
