They are superior in many ways. For example, the float attaches in THREE places instead of just two, so that the float is held level, improving performance at high speed.
The floats are constructed of 3-ply skin material. The center ply is a non-stretchy mesh, so that the float inflates firm and resists being deformed by the force of the water against it.
The attachment fittings are designed to accept 1" x 1" square tubing, instead of round tubing used in competitor's products. Square tubing allows for many more design possibilities and contributes to holding the pontoon stable.
These floats are offered with or without associated metal parts. Use the drop-down window above to buy as many parts of the system as you want or choose to buy just the float.
Metail parts are marine-grade aluminum with protective anodized finish.
Caution: The first 4 configurations offered by this listing are components for DIY projects by kayakers and canoeists. Only the 5th configuration (Full Canoe Stabilizer) is a complete ready-to-go product with everything you need for use on a canoe.

Here are the configurations offered. In each case, you get only what is listed as included for that option:
- 1 Float only. No metal parts.
- 1 Float and metal "T" . The welded aluminum "T" has a prong to engage the rear fitting on the float (the long leg of the "T") and a cross-piece with 1" x 1" inside dimensions, so that an arm you supply made of 1"x1" square tube can pass through it and the other 2 fittings on the float.
- 1 Float and metal "T" and float arm. The float arm has a spring button at each end, and a fixed stop so the float with stay between the fixed stop and the spring button at the outboard end of the arm. No up-down adjustment mechanism.
- 1 Float with square-post tripod attachment system for float, and 1 float arm that allows up-down adjustment of float height.
- Complete canoe stabilizer with 46" crossbar, clamps to attach it to the canoe, 2 floats, 2 float arms with up-down adjustment, square vertical post, and tripod attachment system for the floats.
