Gorgeous, rare, Yesteryear pattern, cake plate is in excellent condition: No cracks, chips, utensil marks, or repairs.  The color is stunning! Viking  introduced the amethyst color in 1953.  In 1984, The Vikings Glass Co. closed its doors.  Subsequent owners closed the company forever in 1998. The tag, or paper label used by Viking Glass, has long ago disappeared.  The pattern, and color, though, unmistakably point to a Viking Glass creation.
