Vintage Italian Colnago Mexico Racing Road Bike Frame and Fork. This Colnago was a high end road bike all built up in Campagnolo Record parts I suspect from mid to late 1970s. I believe this is size 53cm, I believe Colnago sizing is center to top. Actual Size is: Seat tube 51.5cm Center to Center or 53cm Center to Top with a 53cm center to center top tube, and a 108mm headtube. Frame and Fork are Columbus Steel Tubes with Campagnolo Dropouts. The 1" Threaded Fork has 100mm Spacing and the Frame has 124mm Rear Spacing. Frame & Fork is Italian Standard. Serial is 75x. Frame is Used, nice original paint, some decal loss, has some scratches & blemishes, has 2 slight bulges the one under the bottom stay near the fork an one on the seat tube, on the frame this typically means the bike was run into something, but there is no cracking in paint or any evidence of damage any where else and the fork is also straight which is puzzling. The Mexico was pushing the limit in lightness was this bulge from brazing or heat? The other is at the seat tube under the seat lug and this makes no sense to me what so ever, the location of this is what brought up the heat question to me. This is a Beautiful Frame but the buyer should consult a professional opinion before any street use. Plenty of Pictures to mull over. What's shown here for sale weighs a tad under 5 pounds.
