This is the third of the Road Trip Europe series of driving tours from Vicarious Media. The Best of Belgium tour starts by utilising the 65km coastal tram to discover what's behind the endless white sand beaches. From Atlantic wall defences and zen gardens, to national dishes and tiny drinking holes, we guide you length and breadth of this surprisingly diverse coastline.

Traveling inland, we wonder at the waterways' incredible engineering, walk the battle lines of Waterloo, break for Abbey beer (several) before we snake along the Semous river.

Along the way we’ll tell you about all the not-to-miss sights which are sure to make this a trip to remember, you get to walk, cycle, and paddle at some truly magnificent locations. We’ll tell you where you can park your motorhome, pitch your caravan or tent or even put your head down on a fluffy hotel pillow at the end of the day. And, for those moments when you just want a bit of down time, there’s information on where to eat and shop as well.

This tour is linear from Oostende finishing close to Luxembourg. It can be used in conjunction with Road Trip Europe: The Great War & More, allowing you to make more of your linear road trip or extend onto a circular route. There are suggested timings, however the tour can be undertaken at your own pace over a period of one to two weeks. The tour is suitable for motorbikes, cars, campervans and motorhomes.

Meli says: "When we were full-timing we would have appreciated the information in Road Trip Europe: The Best of Belgium and it would have been nice not to have to do all our own planning."

Keeping that in mind, we’ve written a driving tour that does all the hard work for you. It’ll take you to some obvious and some unexpected places and it can be easily tailored to each of your whims and fancies. You can choose where you want to go, what sights you want to see and how long you want to spend in each place. The tour is written in traditional Vicarious Media style and is ideal whether you’re a first timer or an old hand.
