Granite is a coarse-grained (phaneritic) intrusive igneous rock composed mostly of quartz, alkali feldspar and plagioclase.  It forms from magma with a high content of silica and alkali metal oxides that slowly cools and solidifies underground.

This listing is for a light grey Granite block originating from the Granite Belt in the area of the Great Dividing Range in the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. The Granite Belt is centred on the town of Stanthorpe.  

The block is polished on one side and semi polished on the other. It measures approx. 145 x 145 mm, with thickness of 15 mm. The weight is 910 g.
