Antique Bausch & Lomb Or A Lietz Engineer Survey Level Scope Transit Tribrach

Not cleaned, polished or otherwise mutilated. As picked. Barn find.

The wear and patina is absolutely breathtaking on the wooden case. If I was to restore this, I'd just encapsulate the case in a couple of coats of polyurethane, and make the brass hardware shine, plus new leather on the handle.

The scope has potential to be brought back to the full glory of its younger years, but the patina serves it great, as a testament of a long lost age of USA built quality instruments which propelled the world into the 20th century.

Would make a great restoration project!
