Rare large chromolithograph print, from a folio of plates 'L'ornement Polychrome', published  in Paris by Librairie de Firmin-Didot Freres between 1869 and 1888. Born in Paris, Auguste Racinet, (1825-1893), an artist of considerable merit is highly acclaimed as one of the leading art historians of the period. This is an original 1869 print, not to be confused with the modern reprinted versions widely available. Great overall condition, some yellowing of the paper, and age spots, You will receive the item pictured, so the pictures are integral to the condition report and listing. This and the others come from a large private library and have been in the same family for a number of decades. Freshly mounted / matted in a new mount, backed and sealed ready for you to frame. Not suitable from removal from mount.
