Vintage 50s womens boucle wool suit brown Med Chest 36-38 Mad men Era Gorgeous.

Chest 36-38 inches

Waist 30 inches

Some people inherit money. I inherited clothes. I had a really swank aunt. She was a society girl in NYC in the 50s and 60s. She was a model and a stewardess. She had the most amazing style and look. I think she tried to dress like Jackie Kennedy. Anyway, long story short, I have been hanging on to her gorgeous clothes since the 70s and 80s. I’m thinking she bought this nice suit in the garment district in Manhattan. It’s union made in the US and she used to live near the garment district (until she married and moved to Long Island) so I’m thinking that’s where this suit was made.

Anyway. I never liked the buttons on this suit so I took them off and I bought new ones. (See the one button photo.) I took them off because I didn’t think they flattered the jackets. Don’t you agree? What an ugly button. So, in Italy, back in 03’ish (when I worked internationally) I fell in love with some buttons at a fabric shop. Anyway, I have the buttons somewhere and I will be putting them on. Meanwhile, just deduct $50 from the price of this suit if you prefer to put your own buttons on.

When I get around to putting the buttons on then I’ll change the listing.

Please see many other vintage listings in my store. I will be putting up gobs and gobs as I have been an avid collector for about 40 years.
