DESCRIPTION:- Available for sale is an  Original  Wedgwood Miniature "Upright" Shape Jug  in Dark Blue Jasper Dip 1924 Wembley Exhibition Souvenir 

A  rare diminutive version of Wedgwood's rope-handled "Upright" shape jug is adorned with  the Wembley  lion, in a columned architectural structure. The inscription "Wembley 1924"  as a souvenir of the British Empire Exhibition. Appropriately for a celebration of achievement in industry and the arts, Wedgwood includes an armourial for the City of London  on the reverse side ( most Have Josiah Wedgwood). The grapevine or "fruiting" border, standard for this jug shape, is the only other ornament. The 1924 British Empire Exhibition was a gigantic exposition designed to encourage unity and trade among the fifty-eight nations that were then components of the British Empire. Those who saw the terrific film The King's Speech will recall the painful opening scene in  which Prince Albert, later George VI stammers through a public address. That scene was, in fact, a recreation of the prince's appearance at the closing of the British Empire Exhibition.

CONDITION ISSUES:- The top of the jug has a rough edge but under an eyeglass is glazed so suspect Wedgwood made loads and simply cut the tops rather than finish nicely

The returned goods need to be in their original condition. Buyers have 14 days to return a product for a refund. Return postage is at the buyers own cost and risk.

If your purchase arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the item. You may be asked to provide photographic images of the damage or product fault to investigate and resolve. Customers have 14 days from purchase to return a faulty or damaged item to me for refund.

If you return goods claiming they are defective, I will examine the returned goods and will notify you of your refund via e-mail. I will process the refund as soon as possible via ebay. If a refund or reimbursement is payable to you, I will transfer the money using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase. ie if you paid baby then ebay will refund you

If a product is returned as faulty but not found to have a manufacturing fault or if a fault has developed as a result of misuse, no product or postage costs will be refunded.

Delivery addresses can only be changed before an item is ordered and paid for. I am unable to change the delivery address of an order once it has been placed due to Payment Protection.
