Up for your consideration is an ORIGINAL painting by ADHAM WANLY.  It depicts a group of Eastern European performers dressed in Folklore costumes dancing in a circle. It is not signed but is inscribed on the reverse in Arabic.  The size of the painting  is approximately 9 5/8 x 18 3/4 inches (24.44 x 47.62 cm)

Adham Wanly and his brother Seif were born in Alexandria, Egypt at the beginning of the 20th century. They studied oil painting in the studio of Italian painter Arturo Zanieri  then joined the studio of Italian painter Ottorino Bicchi.

"During the 1950's, Adham and his brother traveled to many European countries including France, Italy and Spain, where they sketched and painted numerous landscapes, as well as ballet, opera and theater performances."(Mathaf Encyclopedia of Modern Art and the Arab World)
In 1942, the brothers opened their own studio in Alexandria. "They participated together in more than 17 exhibitions, notably in the Biennale of Alexandria, Venice and in Sao-Paolo, Brazil. Some of their exhibitions are: Solo exhibitions in 1942 at the British Institute in Alexandria, the Egyptian-French Friendship Society in Paris in 1949, the exhibition inspired by the atrocities of the Second World War at the British Institute in Alexandria, The UNESCO Art Exhibition in Beirut in1949 and the Egypt -France Exhibition in Paris".  (6 Cairo)
Adham Wanly died in 1959.  His paintings were in the Museum of Fine Arts until the late 1960's when the museum closed and the building that housed the paintings was demolished.  The Wanly brothers' artwork were acquired by institutions and collectors as well as embassies.  My father was one of the collectors who bought a few pieces.  When I got married he gave me 5 paintings and told me that this would be "good in time of need”.

In 2016, Doyle of NY appraised it between $5,000- $7000 ,but  as you will notice Adham Wanly's paintings get much more than "auction estimates":
