Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Sansui AU-999 amplifier.  This includes all the parts you need to rebuild a Sansui AU-999, and includes the correct size replacement main filter capacitors and a new upgraded bridge rectifier.  There are a number of mods that can (and should) be done on the AU-999.  The kit includes 1% metal film resistors to do Kevzep's bass mod and preamp mod.  It also includes upgraded caps for C801 on the driver board.  The instructions will explain how to implement these mods (which are easy and totally reversible), and the instructions will explain how to disconnect and/or remove the subsonic filters and the "crowbar" protection circuit.  The kit does not include replacement parts for those circuits, as removing them is a better call.  This also does not include the driver or output transistors.  Correct replacement outputs are four MJ21196G, available here.  Please don't buy any of the Chinese transistors on eBay--those are counterfeit and will blow up.

This kit includes replacements for all the electrolytic capacitors in the receiver, including the two large chassis-mount capacitors, which are upgraded to new 10000 uf 80v Chemi-Con caps.  The new caps are the same diameter as the old ones so they will fit the old clamps perfectly.  The kit also includes replacements for almost all the transistors on all the boards.  Transistors frequently age worse than the capacitors, so you have to replace them when you're doing a rebuild.  Replacements for the driver board trimmers and four driver board diodes are also included.  Just a simple recap on an AU-999 is a waste of time--they need WAY more work than that.

These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment.  Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC, Panasonic film, and Chemi-Con for the main filter caps.  Transistors and diodes are made by Onsemi and Diodes Incorporated.

This kit uses low-leakage Nichicon KL capacitors for almost everything, except the two main filter caps and the three ripple filter boards (F-1230, F-1231, F-1277).  The driver board kit has two Nichicon KL, two Nichicon Muse bipolar, and two Panasonic film caps.  Driver board transistors are four ZTX694B and four ZTX795A (hfe-matched pairs for the differential transistors), plus two KSA1220AY and two KSC2690AY.  Other transistors in the kit are KSC1845 and KSA992.  The filter caps are upgraded to Chemi-Con 10000 uf 80v, and the bridge rectifier is upgraded to a Vishay 25A 400v bridge.  Resistors for the preamp and bass mods are two each 100 ohm, 1k ohm, 2.2, ohm, 3.3k ohm, and 1 meg ohm, all 1% 1/2W metal film.

This kit includes a total of 87 parts.  This is not a quick and easy rebuild, because the AU-999 needs a lot of upgrade work for it to sound its best.  The instructions will explain how everything goes in, but this is moderately complicated, so if you do not have a lot of experience with vintage gear I would not recommend starting with this one.  You should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 60W or 100W incandescent bulb.
