This UK Free Post 'Buy it Now' is for a Hornby R8250 Standard Controller and a Transformer P9001W (2 pin Europlug), together with a UK adapter for UK buyers. The P9001W transformer is the same specification as the UK model P9000W transformer, except that it has a 2-pin Europlug. We are offering this controller and transformer bundle at a lower price than the bundle we sell with a transformer with a 3-pin plug. If you buy from outside the UK we won't include the UK adapter - it won't be a lot of use to you.

Whilst we have listed this as OO Gauge, it is of course also suitable for HO Gauge. This Controller/Transformer bundle is not boxed since it comes from a set. If you want to run more than one loco at a time on your layout then you really should use a separate controller and transformer. You can also use a second controller and transformer to power sections of your track which might otherwise be 'dead', when points are in certain positions. You do need to think about where you bring the power to the track though. Please let us know if you want any advice.

This Controller/Transformer bundle is not be suitable for running older, high power consumption locos, especially if they have not been frequently serviced and well maintained.
