Description

Francois-Xavier Roth Les Siècles Debussy La Mer SACD Single Layer JAPAN

Product introduction

Lot's Debussy appears on SACD!

Debussy's "La Mer" by Lotho and Les Siècles will be released as an SACD single layer! A release of an original project in Japan, with SACD remastering provided by the Harmonia Mundi France label. Limited production.

“La Mer” premiered in October 1905. In order to reproduce the sound of that time, the stringed instruments are gut strings, the brass are thin tubes, the woodwinds and harp are made in France at the time, and we adhere to the playing method directly taught by the Paris Conservatoire. This piece, which seems to be dominated by vibrato and tremolo, has the vibrato suppressed as much as possible, so the auditory impression is even like Gagaku. "Orchestral Suite No. 1" is a work of Debussy when he was a student. The missing "dream" and other incomplete parts were completed by contemporary French composer Philippe Manoury.
