If you have recently added a cylinder lock to an older or antique door, you may understand the difficulty in getting the cylinder to match the balance of the hardware on the door. 

This cylinder escutcheon is adjustable, circa 1930 New Old Stock by Sargent.  It fits any standard 1 1/8" standard lock cylinder so it is not limited to use with a Sargent cylinder, fits Corbin, Keil, Schroder, etc, etc, as long as it is a standard 1 1/8" cylinder.
