Another great wheelchair, the U-Go Esteem Ultra lightweight aluminium self propelled wheelchair has a carry weight of just 8kgs and comes with attendant brakes as standard. Proven reliability makes this wheelchair a real favourite. This wheelchair has a half folding back mechanism which makes it extremely compact when it is either being stored or transported. It folds very easily as well and has the additional attribute of having Attendant controlled brakes on both of the 24" rear solid rear wheels, The attendant brakes provide easy slowing and stopping for the attendant.
The wheelchair footrests are height adjustable and the arms flip up and can be totally removed as well if needed. Comfort is plentiful with padded upholstery and PU (puncture Proof) tyres that give the comfort of pneumatic tyres but peace of mind against punctures. A lap seat belt is also included for additional safety.
The 24" self propelled rear wheels enable the user to propel themselves and the handlebar allows the attendant to assist when required. The rear wheels are quick release so can be removed quickly and simply.
The carry weight of the wheelchair is just 8KG, once the quick release wheels, arm rests and leg rests are removed. It is a simple, quick and easy operation to put back together, but this great option allows the wheelchair to be transported with ease.
Elevated Leg Rests are an optional extra with this wheelchair (used to elevate legs) but the wheelchair comes with the usual foot rests as standard.
