Watch reruns while sitting royally on this authentic Coronation Bench from the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, Mother of King Charles III. Carefully preserved for over 70 years, this Coronation bench presents as like new.

An upholstered, wooden stool of limed oak, specifically made for the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, stool has a rich blue velvet fabric fastened over a jointed hardwood frame. The fabric cover fastening is covered with a gold braided banding surround. A canvas upholstery webbing seen from the underside only, supports the cover. Slotted wood screws secure corner brackets of wooden frame. The fabric is in excellent condition with a few faint, very small spots. The mark "ER II” under a crown and followed by the word "Coronation" is burned into the wood of one seat rail. Faintly impressed below the ER II Crown is the makers mark: “Castle Bros. 1953”. A pencil mark "F" appears on the opposing rail. A removable protective cotton cloth cover has been on the stool for over 50 years.
