I'm slightly confused as to where exactly this was published. It appears to have been simultaneously published in the UK and US, although the dust jacket is clearly British. eBay says that the ISBN number I have entered is a paperback. Idiots.

Either way, it appears to be a 1st edition, although I'm not sure in which country. The two ISBN numbers are:
US: 1-932714-05-7
UK: 1-86227-312-X

All I can do is ask you to look at the photo of the copyright page and decide for yourself.

At the risk of repeating the dust jacket blurb, this is a comprehensive and balanced look at the decisive battle of the American Revolutionary War, in which Washington was shown at his finest and Cornwallis made a fatal blunder. "This fresh and invigorating study will satisfy everyone interested in American Revolutionary history, artillery siege tactics, and brilliant leadership". Incredibly detailed, it is punctuated with a number of maps, diagrams and few photos.

I doubt this particular copy has been read more than once, and if my photos are a little clumsy it is because I am reluctant to open the pages too far and break the tight binding.

As a footnote: in the 1990s one of Cornwallis' descendants went to the US and worked illegally on a ranch for a few months. As she was leaving, the immigration offical at the airport noticed she had considerably overstayed her visa and started giving her an earful, to which she replied "Don't start getting all officious with me: if my ancestor hadn't made such a balls-up at Yorktown, you wouldn't have a country to throw me out of!"
