A beautiful and scarce antique quarter-sawn oak apothecary cabinet by high quality office furniture manufacturer Globe Wernicke (1899-1955)


The early 20th century American made wooden cabinet features a fitted interior with 12 press-board flip-down removable drawers, with highly decorative patinated brass label holders and pull rings. The drawer fronts flip down once revealing an inventory "Memoranda" label, each signed "Manufactured by Globe Wernicke Co, Cincinnati, U.S.A."


The Arts and Crafts Mission period cabinet is as attractive as it is functional and versatile; having rich antique oak glow, warm hues, superb grain patterns and beautiful patina; it can be used a variety of ways, including as a index card or file cabinet, library card catalog, organize photography supplies, collectibles or speciman storage, desktop, floor standing, or stacking, it makes for a unique and artistic side table.
