Ebner, Herzberg, Jenisch & Stage, Rollwagen, Wilhelm, Zauna; Nürnberg: Abel-Klinger und andere Kunstverlage schuf. Er wurde bekannt als einer der wenigen deutschen politischen Karikaturisten des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts, in Geschichtsbüchern des 21. Jahrhunderts finden sich noch seine gegen Napoleon gerichteten Karikaturen. Aus dem Nachlass des Antiquars Rosenthal München / Amsterdam.

  • Description: From the hand of the German graphic artist and painter Johann Michael Voltz. His œuvre includes about 5000 drawings and etchings, which he created for Campe, Augsburg: F. Ebner, Herzberg, Jenisch & Stage, Rollwagen, Wilhelm, Zauna; Nuremberg: Abel-Klinger and other art publishers. He became known as one of the few German political caricaturists of the early 19th century, and his caricatures directed against Napoleon can still be found in history books of the 21st century. From the estate of the antiquarian bookseller Rosenthal Munich / Amsterdam.
