Unique, recycled Fair Trade bracelet, featuring delicately crafted rectangular bone beads with a striped zebra pattern.

•   Made from waste cow bone.
A sanding machine is used to shape the bone. 

•   The beads are then dyed and the patterns are created by hand with hot wax - a technique known as Batik.

•   TIny black Maasai beads and silver metal hoops are threaded between each section, enhancing the detail of the item.

Here in the UK, cow bone is hardly what we would consider a crafting material, but in Kenya, cow bone is both an inexpensive raw material and traditional crafting medium.
