The camcorder is not in working condition. When trying to play an 8MM tape, though the tape spindles turn, the onboard display shows completely garbled picture. When trying to record, there is no signal apparent from the lens/ccd, just black.

This listing is for the camcorder only (its battery, power supply, infrared remote control, cables, etc are long lost).

For more info, there is a manual online for the European (PAL) version at https://archive.org/details/manuallib-id-2513014 - the camera you are buying is the North-American (NTSC) version, but, to my knowledge, the feature-set was otherwise the same.
