Vintage, circa 1920-30, featured in their 1927 catalog (see pic): New Old Stock PENN passage mortise lock #2307 with key and strikeplate, measurements for the 2307 are identical to the model #2307 with the exception of this model (2307) having a brass plated steel faceplate.
FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a steel face with a length of 5 3/8" and a width of 7/8" and thickness of 1/16".
MORTISE BOX: The mortise box itself is 3 1/4" deep from the front edge of the faceplate and the box 3 3/4" high. Box is 5/8" thick. The lock is reversible.
BACKSET: The backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 7/16".
DROP: The drop (the distance from the the center of the knob post hole to the center of the top of the round portion at the top of the key slot is 2 1/8".
KNOB POST: The lock accommodates a standard 5/16" knob post.
KEY: The lock comes with the key.
