The 64-page program is in excellent condition that shows light wear.  All pages are secure, and there are no creases, no writing, and no torn pages.  The ticket stub is in very good condition with the year "1951" written on the back of the ticket.  The front of the $8 reserved ticket is easily read. There are no creases on the ticket.  The back of the ticket and front of the program has the 250th Anniversary of Detroit festival logo with the dates of 1701-1951.  Please review the photos as they are part of the item description for both items

The 1951 Motor City 250 was held at the Michigan State Fairgrounds in Detroit on August 12th.  The race was held on a one mile dirt track and saw a field of 58 cars take the green before a crowd of 16,352.

After more than four hours, Tommy Thompson would win the race that saw Marshall Teague, Fonty Flock, Gober Sosebee, and Curtis Turner all lead at one time or another.  The top five finishers consisted of Thompson, Joe Eubanks, Johnny Mantz, Red Byron, and Paul Newkirk.

A quick internet search will find a YouTube video of the race that is worth watching.  History was made by Bill France taking a race to Detroit in the very early years of NASCAR, and this program and seat were there to see it.

Please review the other racing items I have listed. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost.  Thanks!
