  • Beschreibung: Detaillierte Karte des Westfälischen Reichskreises, der die Territorien Nordwestdeutschland umfasst. Der Reichskreis wurde 1500 gegründet und 1806 aufgelöst. Die Karte stammt von 1799. Zu dieser Zeit befand sich das Heilige Römische Reich im Niedergang und viele seiner Verwaltungseinheiten, einschließlich des Westfälischen Reichskreises, hatten nur noch begrenzte politische Bedeutung.

  • Zustand: Guter Zustand. Die senkrecht über die Mitte gefaltete Karte wurde aus einer Bindung entnommen. Die senkrechte Mittelfalz, ist fragil und an den Blatträndern unten und oben eingerissen. Blattränder sind verfärbt, leicht stockfleckig und vereinzelt mit Einrissen. Blattecken teils bestoßen.

  • Description: Detailed map of the Westphalian Imperial Circle, comprising the territories of north-west Germany. The Imperial Circle was founded in 1500 and dissolved in 1806. The map is from 1799, at which time the Holy Roman Empire was in decline and many of its administrative units, including the Westphalian Imperial Circle, had only limited political significance.

  • Condition: Good condition. The map folded vertically across the centre has been removed from a binding. The vertical centre fold, is fragile and torn at the sheet margins at the bottom and top. Margins are discoloured, slightly foxed and occasionally torn. Corners of leaves partly bumped.
