You are purchasing this VINTAGE CLOTHESPIN DOLLS DONNA HELFEN FIGURE STATUE LOT of  3 COLONIAL PEG IN VERY GOOD PREOWNED CONDITION. Lot of 3 Colonial times, Pilgrims, collectible figures handmade and handpainted by Donna Helfen.  All are dated 1993. Two are marked Williamsburg and Va.  Donna Helfen is an artist living in Cape Cod and has done many different historical clothespin figures some of which are in the Smithsonian Museum.  The male figure measures approximately 1.75" length X 5.25" height X 1.75" depth.  Tricorn  black hat,  royal blue lace trimmed jacket and knickers, holding a feather and rolled up document and wood base says "Williamsburg'.  The female measures approximately 1.75" length X 5.5" height X 1.75" depth.  Lovely in her apple patterned lace-trimmed frock with a bonnet with red ribbon.  She holds a basket of apples in her acorn cap basket. Her wood base says "Va."  The boy measures approximately 1.75" length X 3.5" height X 1.75" depth. Adorable in his tricorn brown hat and dark green lace-trimmed clothing.  The boy is playing " hoops" with a wooden circle. Colonial kids played hoops by racing metal or wooden hoops along the ground with their hands or sticks. The hoops were often salvaged from old barrels.The object of the game was to keep the hoop rolling as long as possible and get to the finish line first. All three are signed and dated on their bases. This lot in very good preowned condition.  All intact with costumes and painting intact. All freestanding and secure on wood bases.  The boys hoop is a little loose and glue that attaches to base has lifted.  Great collectibles - folk art - Americana- Colonial America!  Thanks for looking!
