CONDITION:  There are some tiny chips on the fruits spilling out of the cornucopia.

This porcelain tureen with attached under plate was produced in Germany by Meissen in the late 19th century.  It measures 6 inches tall, 9 inches long and 6 1/2 inches wide.  The porcelain is molded with a basket weave pattern.  The lid has a little cherub kneeling on top with a cornucopia of fruits.  There are  bunches of flowers, flower springs and tiny insects scattered around.  The rims are trimmed with gold.  #E378
