Description

International buyers, please note: due to the fact that it has become so costly to post items to destinations outside the UK, we have decided to implement the eBay option not to accept returns from International buyers, unless of course we make a mistake. In the 15 years + that we have been trading on eBay we have only ever had two customers who have asked to return an item because they 'changed their mind, or bought the wrong item' We try and keep our prices and postage charges as low as we possibly can, so we cannot afford the losses that we would inevitably incur if we did accept remorse returns. We hope that you understand. Any import or other duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

Please take a couple of moments to read through this item's description before buying.

For those who don't know, HO gauge locos and rolling stock run on the same track as OO gauge locos and rolling stock.

This UK Free Post 'Buy it Now' is for am excellent, Atlas Master Series Locomotive (Gold), GE B23-7 diesel in Union Pacific's yellow, red and grey livery. This fine DCC & DC sound loco, numbered 103, has been tastefully weathered to give it a really authentic 'in use' appearance. The sound works in both digital and analogue modes, but unless you have a suitable programmer (detailed in the instructions), for analogue sounds then the sounds will be more limited than in digital mode.

I have test run this loco up and down my track and I can confirm that it runs beautifully smoothly, even on the lowest possible speed setting. It also sounds amazing and has a particularly long, authentic start-up with many different sounds, just like the real thing. Whilst it will run quickly, to my way of thinking it has a far more impressive presence at much lower speeds.

Being an Atlas Gold series locomotive it is incredibly well detailed, with such features as directional lighting at the front and the rear, spare different couplings, accurate hand-railing all the way round and a host of other features, and yet there are a number of other detailing parts which can still be added, including grey coloured sunshades which can be added to further increase this locos authenticity. The original 'Magic Wand' is still in its packaging - for those who don't know, this 'wand' can be used to re-set the locos decoder, should you wish or need to do so. You just touch it on the small pale spot on the roof towards the front - you will then get a spoken message confirming the re-set.

All the original paperwork is included, There are two manuals - one generic Atlas manual and one specific to this loco. There is some shelf wear to the box, but that is only to be expected. The picture showing grey packing parts are the original parts, fitted between the body and the handrails to stop the handrails getting bent in towards the body in the box. This is a heavy locomotive, weighing over 1kg with its box.
